Atlanta Spring Classics

Week 2

 Aiken, SC based Tokaruk Show Stables enjoyed another very successful week at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, GA. Horses, trainers and clients of TSS made their presence known during the great shows put on by Equus Events. Polly Cooley was Champion  in the Adult Amateur Hunter Masters divsion for the fourth consecutive show on her beautiful bay gelding, Cadbury. The relatively new pairing has clicked instantly and continue to produce some impressive results. Polly was also Reserve Champion in the Amateur Owner Hunter, 3'3" division with her stunning dark bay stallion, Catuse. 

 

 Another TSS client, Rebecca Cooley and her horse, Little Bear earned multiple blue ribbons on their way to championship honors in the Children's Jumper division. This duo have teamed up for numerous wins over the winter and spring, including tricolors in Wellington at the Winter Equestrian Festival. Also in the Jumper ring, trainer Michael Tokaruk and his horse Lord Byron took home 4th place honors with a double clean performance in the $25,000 Atlanta Spring Challenge Grand Prix Sunday afternoon. "It was a nice way to end two weeks of successful shows for Tokaruk Show Stables" said Michael following the Grand Prix. "Our horses and riders all did great...We like coming to the [Georgia International] Horse Park, and JP [Godard of Equus Events] puts on a great show."

 

Atlanta Spring Week 1

-Polly Cooley and her horse Cadbury were Champion in the Adult Hunter 51 and over division (for the third consecutive show) and won the Adult Hunter Classic (for the third consecutive show- the 2 weeks in Aiken Spring Classics were our last 2 shows)
-Michael was Champion on Cadbury in the Pre-Green Hunter Division and won the Pre Green classic (for the third consecutive show) with scores of 85 in both rounds. 
-Rebecca Cooley and her horse Little Bear were winners of the $10,000 Children's/Adult Jumper Classic (for the third consecutive show)
-Luke and Lucius 35 were 5th in the $25,000 Grand Prix on Saturday night. 

 

 

Aiken Spring Week 2

Polly Cooley and Cadbury were Grand Adult Hunter and Aiken Circuit Champions!

Polly also won top ribbons in the 3'3" Amateur Owners with Catuse

Rebecca Cooley and Little Bear were Grand Childrens/Adult Jumper and Aiken Circuit Champions!

Michael and Cadbury were Reserve Champions in the Pre-Greens & won the Classic again

Luke was 5th in the $30,000 Carolina Company Grand Prix on Lucius 35, Michael was 6th on Lordy

Linda Grasso earned good ribbons on Calypso in the Pre-Adult division

Mary Wheeler earned good ribbons on Valkyrie in the jumpers

Michael was awarded the Grand Prix Jumper Riders "Style of Riding" Award for the Aiken Spring Circuit

Aiken Spring Classics - week 1

Rebecca Cooley and Little Bear won every class they entered! Champion of the Children's Jumper Division, and winner of the $5,000 Childrens/Adults Jumper Classic!!

Polly Cooley and Cadbury were Adult Hunter Champions while Michael and Cadbury picked up Reserve Champion in the Pre-Greens and won the Pre-Green Classic

Michael and Roger Rabbit were 2nd in the $25,000 Grand Prix and 10th with Lord Byron

Linda Grasso and Calypso earned good ribbons in the Pre-Adult division

Camden Spring Fling

Polly Cooley and her new horse, Cadbury were Grand Adult Hunter Champions in their first show ever together!

Luke and Rival du Point du Jour were 10th in the $25,000 Grand Prix, Michael and Roger Rabbit were 11th.

Michael and Roger Rabbit were 3rd in the $25,000 Atlanta Spring Grand Prix

 

Winter 2010 - WEF Highlights

Congratulations to Rebecca Cooley and her new mount, Little Bear. They were Champions in the Children's Jumper 13 & Under Division in one of their first shows ever together!

Catuse & Polly Cooley earned great ribbons in the Adult Hunter Division

Jetset & Lindsay Straffuss along with Biarritz & Madeleine Howe earned great ribbons in the Amateur Owner Division

Polaris and Emily Reynolds won the WIHS Jumper phase with a score of 90 and took 2nd in the WIHS overall. The pair has also teamed up for many great ribbons in the 3'6 equitation

Lochland and Victoria Birdsall were winners in the Small Junior, 16-17 Division in their first show together

Roger Rabbit and Michael placed 2nd in a 1.45m class

Rival Du Point Du Jour has won ribbons in the 1.40m with Luke and in the Adult Jumpers with Lindsay

Fall 2009

NASHVILLE - TSS enjoyed a successful show at Brownland Farm in October.

Michael and Lochland were Champion in the First Year Green Hunter Division.

Kelly Maxwell and Hatteras won great ribbons in the Adult Hunters

Erin ("Timon") Maxwell and her pony, Pumba won the Costume Class!!

Michael was 6th week 1 in the Grand Prix on Roger Rabbit

Michael was 4th on Lordy and 7th on Roger while Luke was 10th on Rival du Point du Jour week 2

Michael won a Level 5 jumper class each week on Roger and Lordy, respectively

 

Congrats to everyone on a successful Aiken Fall Festival Show

Our horses and riders all posted great results

TSS was 4th, 5th, and 6th in the prix week 1

Michael was 2nd in the welcome and 2nd in the prix week 2 on Roger Rabbit

Mary Wheeler's mare, Valkyrie was Champion in her first show ever!

 

Summer 2009

Congrats to everyone on a great summer show season. We traveled to Colorado again and had a wonderful time. Our horses and riders performed well and everyone enjoyed the great weather and show in Denver. A few highlights:

Lindsay Strafuss and Jetset were circuit champion in the A/O hunters, 18-35 section

Michael and Roger Rabbit were circuit champions in the 1.30m jumpers and were 2nd in the big Speed Derby

Michael and Shakespeare were 8th in the Grand Prix week 1

Michael and VDL Zulu Time jumped several clear rounds in the YJC 5 year old classes and won many classes

Congratulations to Michael Dennehy and Rachel Boggus on the lease of Casanova

Congratulations to Ashley Keith on moving up to the junior hunters on Lochland

Congratulations to Lindsay Straffus on moving up the jumper divisions on Rival du Point du Jour

 

Spring-Summer 2009

Aiken Spring Classics 2009

Congratulations to all on a great Aiken Spring show circuit! Here are some highlights:

Ashley Keith was Reserve Champion in the 3'3" Childrens hunters on her horse Lochland

Lindsay Strafuss won top ribbons in the 3'3" A/O hunters on Jetset

Lindsay also took prizes in the Adult jumpers on her new mount, Rival du Point du Jour

Linda Grasso earned good ribbons in the Pre-Adult hunters on her wonderful horse, Calypso

Michael and Don Ravel were wk.1 Reserve Champion & wk. 2 Champions in the Baby Green hunters at their first shows ever!!

Luke was Champion on Rival du Point du Jour and on Casanova in the jumper ring!!

Michael won classes on Ana Bobilev's Touche in the jumpers

Michael placed 10th, 11th, and 12th in the $25,000 grand prix on Roger Rabbit, Lord Byron, and Kinsale

He was 7th in the $30,000 Carolina Company grand prix on Lord Byron and placed 6th and 8th in the welcome class on Roger Rabbit and Kinsale

Spring 2009

Atlanta Spring 2009

Michael was 5th, 7th, and 11th in the Cherry Blossom Grand Prix. He had the winning time on Lordy in the jumpoff by more than 2 seconds, but a rail dropped them to 5th. Roger Rabbit jumped clean and had a rail in the jumpoff to end up 7th. Kinsale, owned by Nancy Wetmore was a catch ride ending up with a quick 4 faults and a ribbon.

 

Spring 2009

Lemon Drop was champion again in Wellington! This time, Mary Megan Huitt rode him to the tricolor in the Children's Jumpers at WEF. Congratulations Meg!!! Michael and Roger were clean in the 7/8 year old young jumper qualifiers every time this circuit!! Lordy earned ribbons in the 1.30m and 1.35m classes. Oscar earned ribbons in the 1.45m classes. Ana and Pedro earned ribbons in the Adult jumpers at WEF. Congrats to all!! Tokaruk Show Stables is also pleased to welcome Linda Grasso and her horse, Calypso.

 

January 2009

TSS rang in the new year in style in Wellington, Florida.

Jaclyn and Lemon Drop were champions in the Adult Jumpers!

Michael and Angela Woodbury's Shakespeare placed 2nd in the $25,000 6-bar class!
